A MILDURA man who slapped a women in the face while she cradled a young child after they argued about his drinking has been jailed.

The Mildura Magistrates' Court heard the pair had been at an Ontario Avenue address in March this year following recent months of him having been verbally abusive towards the female including calling the victim a "dumb bitch" and "stupid dog".
