CARDROSS killer driver Thomas Graham Towle has avoided more time behind bars for driving unlicensed while high on drugs despite police arguing that a term of imprisonment was warranted.

Towle, 53, was this week given a 12-month community corrections order to perform 150 hours of community work as part of the sentence.
