A WIDESPREAD power outage impacted more than 3000 properties in Sunraysia on Thursday.

Homes and businesses in Mildura, Irymple, Cardross and Koorlong unexpectedly lost power at about 1.50pm on Thursday.

Network provider Powercor sent out text messages to affected customers, informing them that their power would likely be restored by 4.30pm due to the unplanned outage.
