AFTER its successful first running this year, the Mildura Riverfront Marathon Festival has announced new initiatives for when it returns next year aimed at increasing participation and competitor comfort.

A 10km walk event will be added, as well as an option to sign up as part of a team for the 10km run, half-marathon or full marathon.
