AN electrical fault is believed to have caused of a house fire at Merbein on Monday morning.

Six CFA units from Mildura and Merbein, as well as Fire Rescue Victoria, responded to the incident on Park Street at 6.10am.

When they arrived, firefighters found a single storey weatherboard house fully ablaze.
