TELSTRA has announced it's extending the termination date of its 3G network by two months.

Originally the mobile coverage provided has planned to switch off its 3G network on 30 June this year, but on Monday revealed the service would continue to operate until 31 August.

The move is aimed at giving "people more time to upgrade their devices."
