A MAN who used leaf litter and palm tree fronds to set fire to the Robinvale Hotel, which had been gutted by fire in 2015, has been ordered to complete a 12-month community corrections order.

The Mildura Magistrates' Court heard that on Sunday, April 21 this year, Raymond John Terrick went to the Robinvale IGA liquor store about 10.30am and stole a 700ml bottle of Johnnie Walker valued at $235.
