A NEW aged-care facility is set to be built in central Mildura, allowing the aging population to continue to find care close to home.

Princes Court Residential Aged Care is in the planning stages of expanding and modernising with a new 50-bed facility.

Interim chief executive officer Anthony Couourpis said he believed the project would be good for the region.
