POLICE are appealing for public assistance to help locate missing Mildura girl Leshantal Mitchell.
The 15-year-old was reported missing by her carers on April 5. Information has been received that she is frequenting the Melbourne area and using public transport.
Ms Mitchell is described as an Aboriginal female, of medium build, approximately 160cm tall, with long dark brown straight hair, brown eyes.
Her last known clothing is unknown.
Police are concerned about her welfare due to her young age, the fact she has cut contact with her carers and family members, she may be in the company of inappropriate persons and her current whereabouts are unknown. She is not in possession of her mobile telephone.
