A MAN has been commended in the latest instalment of Australian Bravery Decorations for brave conduct for pulling another man from the Murray River near Mildura almost 10 years ago.

Denis Byrne was with others on a houseboat on the Murray River on May 1, 2015 when he saw someone struggling in the water.
