EVENT organisers and retail businesses across the region are preparing for one of the biggest weekends of the year, with the visitor economy predicted to deliver a $5 million-plus boost.

More than 10,000 people are expected to converge on Sunraysia for the Easter long weekend, lured by sporting events and tourist attractions.
