AN underground cable fault in Irymple caused a significant power blackout on Sunday, leaving 3084 Powercor customers across Irymple, Cardross, Koorlong and parts of Mildura without electricity for more than two hours.

Homes, businesses and traffic lights were affected by the unexpected outage which occurred at about 3.30pm.
