PSYCHIATRISTS around the country are calling for government intervention after a survey revealed alarming burnout statistics within the profession.

A recent nationwide survey of 1269 members of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists showed seven out of 10 had experienced burnout symptoms in the past three years.
