THE man who shot and killed Mildura White Ribbon campaigner Karen Belej in 2016 is believed to be preparing for freedom next week, after serving almost eight years in jail.

Brandon Leigh Osborn was sentenced to a maximum nine years' imprisonment with a minimum of six years after pleading guilty to the manslaughter of Ms Belej, 31, at her Cardross home in May, 2016.
