A NEW 148-capacity childcare centre is on track to open its doors in the coming weeks, helping to meet the demand for childcare services in the region.

The Bright Steps Academy has eight different rooms to cater for a variety of age groups, an arts centre, several outdoor play areas and an industrial kitchen where children can learn to cook.
