HUGE stretches of the Murray River remain without vital navigation aids after the October 2022 floods, according to one navigator.

Gunbower Island resident Tuesday Browell, who is drifting downstream in a solar-powered craft, says most of the two-kilometre markers needed by most river users were washed away last year.

She said there was no sign of them being replaced.
