POLICE are appealing for public assistance to locate Mildura man Eliaz Alvanos, who is wanted over an outstanding warrant.

Alvanos, who is known to frequent the Mildura area, appeared in the Mildura Magistrates' Court in August when a magistrate warned he would kill himself or an innocent bystander if he continued to drive like a "maniac".
