THE temperature was scorching, as were the competitors at the weekend's Malibu Mallee Masters wakeboarding event at Ouyen Lake.

Regarded as one of the best wakeboarding facilities in Australia, the oasis in the Mallee was a hive of activity as about 50 riders strutted their stuff.

Despite the heat a strong contingent of supporters turned out enjoy the day.
