Menindee in flood fight against record river rise

MENINDEE residents are in a “world of hurt” as they fight to guard the town against the highest flood to hit the town.

But local man Graeme McCrabb said the community had come together in an act of “selflessness” to prepare for a potential record flood peak of 10.7m, which could arrive on Thursday.
