OUYEN locals and visitors took advantage of the nice weather on Friday to spend a fun day by the lake ahead of a night's camping at the Ouyen Mallee Root Festival.

President Dee Amos said it was great to see so many people enjoying the festival, which was being held at the lake for the first time.
