MILDURA Rural City Council will elect a new Deputy Mayor at a special meeting of councillors next week following the resignation of Cyndi Power last week.

Under the Victorian Local Government Act 2020, council is required to hold an election to fill the Deputy Mayor's position within a month of the position becoming vacant.
