PETROL prices in Mildura could surge past $2.50 a litre later this year as the global oil market continue to adjust following the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The price of fuel in Mildura continued to climb on Friday, reaching more than $2 per litre for unleaded 91 at some outlets, while Diesel rose to $2.22 per litre.
