SUNRAYSIA schools are determined to get through a second COVID-19 shutdown "as best they can", according to Department of Education senior education improvement leader Andrew Ough.

The former Mildura Senior College principal, whose current role aims to support schools and school leaders, said Mallee schools were aware of the challenges ahead, but were also up to the mark.
