MILDURA Council has agreed to spend $1 million on a navigation system at Mildura Airport to assist aircraft to land in adverse weather despite concerns the technology will be obsolete within 10 or 15 years.

Councillors this week approved the funding for the instrument landing system (ILS) on top of a $2 million Federal Government contribution and a further $1 million from Mildura Airport.
