A STRETCH of Mildura's San Mateo Avenue will have a concrete centre median installed and its speed limit reduced to 50km/h through Victorian Government funding announced on Thursday.

The $607,000 package, for the section between Twelfth and Fourteenth streets, includes raised pedestrian crossings, raised safety platforms and on-road bicycle lanes.
