SUNRAYSIA residents have been urged to buy more vegetables after a new report indicated consumers were buying less than half the daily recommended intake.

The report by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) indicated Australians were buying only enough vegetables for 2.3 daily serves, well short of the recommended five or more daily serves.
