MILDURA residents and businesses will start to receive their new green bins from next week.

Thousands of the food and garden organics bins have arrived at Mildura Council's depot in anticipation of the new service which will be introduced in July.

Mildura council said everyone would receive a bin, kitchen caddy, compostable caddy bags and information about using the new service.

Delivery of the bins will start on Monday May 11 and continue until June before the service starts on July 6.
