Gavin Sedgmen won’t stand down over speeding charge

MILDURA councillor Gavin Sedgmen says he will not step down from his community safety portfolio while he awaits the outcome of a police accusation that he was driving at more than 140km/h in an 80km/h zone.

Cr Sedgmen is expected to face court again in October, when he says he will defend the allegations that he was travelling at between 140km/h and 150km/h in the restricted speed zone.
