SUNRAYSIA sporting legend Brian "Reg" Weightman has been remembered as a "true giant" in local sporting circles who helped not only aspiring athletes but anyone who crossed his path.

Mr Weightman's funeral service was on Friday told the five-time McLeod Medal runner-up for the best player in the Sunraysia Football League was a great family man who touched the lives of so many during his 88 years.
