Returning Darling flows to Wentworth an ‘evolving situation’

MANAGING the removal of block banks on the lower Darling River and water quality are the key issues determining the return of flows in the system to Wentworth, a Federal Senate Estimates hearing was told last week.

Murray-Darling Basin Authority executive director of river management Andrew Reynolds, responding to questions from Centre Alliance Senator Rex Patrick, told the hearing that restarting the lower Darling was an "evolving situation" as water moved through the system.
