SUNRAYSIA citrus growers are urging the Federal Government to increase investment in border security after fruit carrying a killer citrus disease entered Australia.

On Wednesday, the Department of Agriculture, Water and Environment revealed biosecurity officers recently intercepted a number of fruit items, which were found to be carrying the citrus canker disease, at Australia's borders.
