NSW Government and MDBA at odds over flows to Menindee

THE Murray-Darling Basin Authority (MDBA) says that while it is too early to tell how much of the recent heavy rainfall in northern Australia would reach its storages, there were early signs that some flows may reach the Menindee Lakes.

The authority this week said the welcome rain that fell across the basin early this month had provided a much-needed morale boost for rural and regional communities, it was unfortunately not enough to break the drought.
