OLIVIA Watt is heading to Adelaide next week to start her medical degree, but her journey to achieving her dream of being a foetal surgeon hasn't gone the way she planned.

Ms Watt decided when she was in Year 10 that she wanted to work in paediatric medicine because of her passion for babies.
