WHILE last week's rain was a welcome sight for most Millewa farmers, it was a different story for one of the drought-stricken region's almond growers.

Lake Cullulleraine Almonds Farm was hit with 17mm on Thursday night, followed by a 15mm torrential downpour in just 10 minutes on Friday morning.
