SUNASSIST founder and long-time volunteer Liz Irwin has been awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in the Australia Day honours.

Ms Irwin said she was gratified by the honour, but emphasised that she is one among many working to make Sunraysia a better place.
