Local speedway stars off to hot starts

JORDAN Stewart and Jaimon Lidsey are ready to build on promising starts to the 2019 Australian Senior Solo Speedway Championship for round 2 on their home track at Olympic Park tonight.

The pair sit inside the top five after Thursday’s Gillman Speedway opener, after featuring in the A and B Final respectively on the night.

Stewart’s hopes of securing any points in the A Final were dashed by an early crash and exclusion, having to settle for his 11 heat points to sit fourth in the standings after round 1 of the five round series.
