PARTICIPANTS of the Crafted by Mildura - Taste Better Walk 2021 event were "blown away" by what Mildura has to offer.

The second annual event held on Sunday gave people the opportunity to experience some of the region's "premium" food, wine, beer and gin through a walking tour within the Mildura CBD.

Project manager Sarah Gilmore said the sold out event was a huge success.

"The feedback we had throughout the event was amazing," she said.

"People were blown away with what Mildura had to offer in regard to food, wine and entertainment.

"This event is great because it heroes what our region is about in regards to food, agriculture and horticulture and everything that gets produced in our region.

"We help out wineries that don't offer a cellar door and this gives people a chance to experience those local wines."

This year the tour participants visited Sunraysia Cellar Door, Fossey's Distillery, Bullfish Bar & Bistro, Stefano's Cafe, Grand Hotel Rose Garden, Mildura Brewery, Secret Garden, The Corporate Moose and cocktail bar Sip.

Each hosted a different winery or distillery paired with locally inspired food by a range of local caterers and chefs, with attendees also able to enjoy live music at various locations.

"The standout that people were really blown away by was The Corporate Moose -- they really paired the wine with the food element, they had every single person do table service and come over to explain their wine," Ms Gilmore said.

"Fossey's Distillery always go above and beyond when it comes to event like this, they did an awesome job, making homemade scones with local produce, it was beautiful."

Following the success of the event, Ms Gilmore said organisers are now deciding whether to host a second event this year.

"We are considering if we do another one this year, a winter one, so we will be putting out a survey to get feedback about what they liked, didn't like and what we could approve on," she said.

Regardless of whether a second event is held this year, Ms Gilmore said there are plans to host an event on the Labour Day long weekend next year.
