Falling flows to blame

In response to Peter Whitfield and Neville Gardner (Sunraysia Daily, 

December 4), the simple fact is that inflows into all rivers in southern Aust­ralia have been in serious decline, in the case of Perth since 1970, the Murray since 1990, in the Wimmera since 1995.
