Time to remember forgotten heroes

Today, we mark, or commemorate, the end of World War I (1914-18) with Remembrance Day, originally Armistice Day.

At 11am on November 11, 1918, the guns fell silent.

More than 60,000 Australian servicemen and women lost their lives during this conflict.

About 14 per cent of those who served in the Great War.

It is said that barely a family in this country was unaffected by these horrendous loss...
