It is pleasing to see that the Liberal Democrats’ Tim Quilty has spoken out in support of the completion of the Murray Basin Rail Project (Sunraysia Daily, July 20).

His statements, “I spoke in Parliament late last year on how the promises of a new era in Victorian rail freight has fallen victim to the Andrews Government’s pathetic fiscal management” and “$440 million of taxpayer money ...
