Mental health system must be ‘responsive’

VICTORIA'S mental health system is "catastrophically" failing, with an estimated 105,000 Victorians living with severe mental illness not receiving specialist care.

That's according to Australia's first royal commission into the sector, which made nine recommendations for change, including a new tax or levy to help shoulder the cost of overhauling the current system.
