THERE are fears that Mildura Base Public Hospital could become a sub-branch of Bendigo Health amid possible statewide regional hospital cuts.

The Herald Sun reported last week that a directive to slash costs was made by the Victorian Department of Treasury and Finance to all 76 Victorian public health services, with some services ordered to find millions of dollars in savings.
