RAPID antigen testing, mandatory masks and COVID-19 screening protocols have been reintroduced at Mildura Base Public Hospital amid a sudden rise in local cases.

Hospital chief executive Terry Welch said action was necessary in response to cases among patients and staff "seemingly rising by the minute".
