WENTWORTH Shire Council says it will focus on the future rather than dwell on statistics that show people in the Wentworth local government area are dying earlier than need be at a higher rate than the rest of New South Wales.
The Wentworth local government area's potentially avoidable deaths in people aged under 75 was at a spatially-adjusted rate of 138.1 per 100,000 population in 2016-17 but was trending downwards when the statistics were last updated.
