MALLEE residents keen to support people living with dementia can sign up for next month's Mildura Memory Walk and Jog.

The event aims to raise money and awareness about the illness, which affects about 3600 people living in the Mallee.

Former organiser Leigh Barry and her family started the walk in 2016 to help support her father, Brian Black, who was diagnosed with dementia in 2013 at age 58.
