THE Far West Local Health District (FWLHD), which includes the NSW towns of Wentworth and Dareton, has appointed a new chief executive.

Umit Agis joins the organisation after serving as director of strategy and clinical operations at Country Health South Australia.

Before that he was the group general manager for a number of state-wide services with Tasmanian Health.
