NEW Geelong AFLW vice-captain Meghan McDonald credits former Sunraysia player and Cats captain Melissa Hickey with a big part of her development.

McDonald enjoyed a successful 2019, playing all eight games and being named at full-back in the 2019 AFLW All-Australian side.
