MERBEIN are hopeful playing co-coach Jarrod Buckley will be fit for round one of the SFNL season despite the key position player having broken his leg in a workplace accident this week.

Club president Toney Hurley said the 28-year-old was struck by machinery while on a worksite on Monday.
