Tigers’ AFLW debut set for February 7 against Blues

COURTNEY Wakefield’s Richmond will play their first AFLW match on February 7 against Carlton at Ikon Park.

The cross-conference clash will be Richmond’s first game in the AFLW competition and pit them against last season’s grand finalists in a season opening Friday night blockbuster.

The former Wentworth netballer, from Top Hut Station, was one of the first players signed to Richmond after impressing in their VFL Women’s side.

Former Imperials netballer Hannah Priest’s St Kilda will also play their first AFLW match against the Western Bulldogs on February 9, while Geelong and Sunraysia product Melissa Hickey travel to Fremantle on the same day.
