MILDURA Council is considering a proposal to formally name City Oval in Mildura after local football and cricket legend Brian Weightman.

The proposal was put forward by SFNL club Imperials to honour Mr Weightman's sporting achievements and connection to No.1 Oval for more than 71 years.
